Occupational Therapy is a healthcare professional work with individuals, families, and health related organisations to assist them to overcome the limitations and restrictions that are caused by illness, psychological or emotional difficulties, developmental delay or the effects of aging. Occupational therapist will enhance people ability to engage in the occupations and empowering people to participate in everyday life.
The KPJUC gives you a high-quality academic education and clinical intensive at the KPJ group of Hospitals. You will learn from highly competence and experienced Occupational Therapist who are skilled in occupations related care, education and research. You will acquire the knowledge and skills you need to practice as a Occupational Therapist, using a combination of traditional and scenario-based learning and teaching methods. The curriculum incorporates knowledge from the disciplines of occupational science, biomedical, behavioural and social sciences.
Students then develop and apply this knowledge to the assessment and intervention processes used by occupational therapists when working with clients and client groups. The Fieldwork education in various practice settings will provide further opportunities to apply knowledge, skills and developing appreciation of occupational therapy related health care and service delivery. This clinical training will be conducted at the KPJ group of hospitals.
