ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Agricultural science is the study of science and management of biological systems for the sustainable production of food. Agriculture has been a practice and key to sustaining human development on earth.
Agriculture is actually part of Biotechnology as it uses biological know-how to attain better crop yields and better quality in food production.
This programme is designed to produce specialised human resources that are capable of using technical and practical skills in managing plantation crops using sustainable technology.

If you love gardening or have a deep interest in plants, crop cultivation, farming, soil and other agricultural practices, this programme is definitely for you.
And, since there are more job openings than qualified people to fill them, there is a wide selection of jobs and opportunities that lie ahead.
What will I learn?
The main focus would be Organic Chemistry, Soil Science, Plant Biology, Plantation Crop, Farm Planning & Management to name a few.
What should I expect?
You will be exposed to modern farming technology, plant protection techniques such as pest and weed control, how to conserve soil and water, how to turn crops into food and so on. You will also learn how to preserve, process, package, store and deliver food.
There are opportunities to gain relevant experience through activities such as field trips to plantation estates, agri-businesses and farms throughout Malaysia.
