Nothing makes us prouder than seeing our beloved students realising their potential and achieving glory in their field of choice.
We’ve now got yet another champion to celebrate, as Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) graduate Cheong Hui Yin was named as one of the recipients of the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS)-Duopharma Biotech 2020 Gold Medal Award.
The annual award recognises outstanding final year pharmacy students in Malaysia who are nominated by their universities for exceptional academic performances and co-curricular activities.
This is the latest in a string of successes for our Faculty of Pharmacy, who recently won second place and the Best Speaker at the 6th Malaysian Pharmacy Students Association (MyPSA) National Pharmacy Debate Competition, right after organising a four-day online public health campaign.
Cheong, who is the first QIU student to win this award, also obtained the best CGPA among QIU’s 2019 graduating batch of Pharmacy students. She is now doing her pre-registration training, or housemanship, at Hospital Putrajaya.
Congratulations to yet another one of our shining stars! We’re sure that you’ll continue to make us proud as one of the nation’s brave frontliners!
