Hairdressing

This professional certificate 5 months of Hairdressing course focuses on the important elements of hairdressing and salon management. Fundamentally, students will develop skills in hair cutting, perming, coloring, product knowledge, and hair science. It allows students to identify, develop and implement brand strategies, study merchandising practices, plan and execute advertising and promotional ideas. The student will work in the College’s onsite hair salon, Ambitions, on paying clients, practicing and perfecting your skills whilst working towards assessment. All this will build into a portfolio of evidence to take forward and showcase for the next educational level or for an employer to view. You will have the opportunity to visit events, local salons, fashion shows, and photography or videography commercials whether it’s print or TV ads with the artistic team of SCCA.
