Master of Science (Medical Microbiology)

Candidates must have obtained any one of the following qualifications before admission to
the M Med Sc (Microbiology) programme:
A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS / MD), Dentistry (BDS), Pharmacy (B Pharm); OR

A Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Biomedical Sciences or Biotechnology or in any other relevant life sciences with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate, QIU; OR

A Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Biomedical Sciences or Biotechnology and other relevant life sciences with minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR

A Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Biomedical Sciences or Biotechnology in any other relevant life sciences with minimum CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant field; OR

Any other qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Science that is accepted by the Senate, QIU
